Time to enjoy Jamaica, so Maggie & I headed off to Chukka Cove for some horseback riding by the sea. After a brief tutorial we were off on the trail, and the classic run through the water by horse…. Kind of like an old fashion jet ski but with hooves. It was a great day under the Caribbean sun and we really enjoyed the experience. With it being Maggie’s last night in town we wanted to do something special so we headed to Evita’s. Billed as the best Italian in all of Jamaica, it had a lot to live up to and I was a little skeptical. But on arriving we knew we were in for a treat. Located on top of a windy mountain road, set back into the jungle this old gingerbread style home opened up onto a commanding view of Ochi at night. With lights twinkling in the distance, we pretty much had the place to ourselves and you could not have asked for a more romantic setting. The old Rasta man strumming on the guitar was the finishing touch to this magical evening. The great food and fantastic company made it a night to remember and won a special place in our hearts for Evita’s. So far there are only about three things I would say are must-dos when visiting Jamaica: 1. Dunns River Falls, 2. Rick’s Café, 3. Evita’s
Thanks for the memories!
