With all the changes facing Falmouth in the months to come and impending arrival of the Oasis of the Seas in January, it was time for a Community Expo to help prepare the residents of Falmouth. All the major governmental agencies set up booths to help share their vision for the community and seek public feedback. The UDC was there along with TPDCO and we were there to represent Falmouth Heritage Renewal with a booth. It was great to be out in Water Square talking to and seeking information from the locals. Reminded me a lot of my Farmer’s Market days at the Ski Museum minus the souvenir nick-knacks and bad John Denver music. This time the music of choice had a Reggae beat and everything was a lot more up-tempo and hotter. The expo went well and it was a great experience in public participation in a different country. But, even more importantly I had a very special guest arrive today… Thanks to a few frequent flyer miles, Maggie was able to come out for a quick visit and see Falmouth. Its really hard to capture all my experiences in photos or on a blog so I’m excited to have her here with me for a few days to show her what I have been up to.
