What's in a Name?

Yep, another Monday. I’m starting to realize that Mondays after you have spent the whole weekend exploring another country are really hard! Getting back to work and into the swing of things is tricky, but today was pretty exciting as we have a new roommate moving in. Zaneta Scott, an urban planning student at the University of Technology, will be working with us this summer. I’m really excited to have her on board and to get to learn more about planning in Jamaica and how things work. There are so many different organizations, the UDC (Urban Development Corporation), the TPDCO (Tourism Product Development Company), the JCDC (Jamaica Cultural Development Commission), the TPC (Trelawney Parish Council), the PAJ (Port Authority of Jamaica) just to name a few. So many governmental agencies its hard to keep them all straight, but vital in understanding how they all function and what they do.
