Walking into a new organization in a different country and culture can be a real challenge. I spent most of the day reading through document after document after document. Falmouth is definitely one of the most recorded towns in Jamaica. I was excited to read through and get familiar with the Jamaican National Heritage Trust website and gain a better understanding of their organization and how preservation works in Jamaica. The entire town of Falmouth is a registered National Historic District, which is pretty cool but not too sure how much that is enforced or if people understand what it means to be a historic district.
